Enhancing your Look!!!
Have you been wondering how you can enhance your look? First start with your brows, having full, even shaped, lengthy brows can take your look a long way. When receiving a brow treatment(waxing, threading, or tweezing) make sure your brows are grown in enough for shaping. Just because you have stray hairs does not mean it is time for a full brow shaping. Consider cleaning them up(tweezing in between treatments). Brow shaping should be done every three to four weeks, this keeps the brow growth healthy and it keeps you from having spaces in between your brows. Another trick to having great looking brows is to use brow powder along with a pencil. The pencil alone makes the brows look un-natural. Using both will enhance your shape and it makes your brows stand out. Also if you do not have time to fill the brows daily, you can consider getting your brows tinted. The tint will last for about a month and when it is time for your full brow shaping, you can tint them again. The tint color should be only about 1-2 shades darker than your hair. The color doesnt have to necessarily match your hair color(if your hair is red, your brows do not have to be red). Another thing to remember is that your brows start at the beginning of your tear duct, the arch is in the middle of your brow bone and the end of your brows should stop at the end of your eye. Do not take off too much hair from the beginning or end of your brows. Doing so will make your forehead look wider and it shortens your brows. Conditioning your brows with an herbal brow gel is essential for healthy, shiny brows and it helps to tame the brows of strays during the growth period. "Wine down Wednesday"!
Greetings,
Hooray, its hump day and it's almost time to settle down for the weekend. When I think of settling down, I picture a bubble bath, a glass of wine and a relaxing mask for my skin. Well believe it or not wine and skin care fit well together. Wine not only taste great but feels great. This season try a Pumpkin Wine Enzyme treatment. A great anti-aging treatment for skin of all types, the Pumpkin Wine treatment provides antioxidant, nutritive, and exfoliating properties for your skin. A fruit-acid enzyme which is applied like a masque, accelerates exfoliation, provides powerful antioxidants to your skin, and substitutes as a mild form of retinoic acid. This treatment is very gentle to the skin but leaves your skin refreshed, bright, and detoxed. My favorite enzyme is: Peter Thomas Roth - Pumpkin enzyme peel. (Visit your Esthetician for a more advanced treatment)

Tone Up Tuesday
Greetings,
We know the importance of keeping our bodies shapely and toned. This same factor is important for our skin as well. Toning for the body is the same for the skin. It conditions and balances our skin. This step should not be left out of skincare routine. Using a toner or refresher for your skin type is important. The great thing about toners is that they can be used all year round and depending on the ingredients, in the summer they can be used alone if you are oily. Toners help to even your skin complexion, it helps to remove any dirt or build up left on your skin after cleansing, and it helps your moisturizer last longer. Using a toner low in alcohol is important to keep your skin from drying out, which can cause breakouts, peeling and skin breakage. To make this step fun for you, put your toner in a spray bottle(lightly mist a few times, let it dry then apply moisturizer) and that way it will be easy and quick. My favorite toner is: Avalon Organics Vitamin C Balancing Facial Toner!(great for all skin types)

Mask Monday
Hello all,
Today is mask monday, you may be asking yourself what does that mean? Masking is an excellent skincare treatment. Masking as we see it is covering up something we do not want to be seen by others. That is exactly why using a mask for your skin type once week is essential to healthy skin. Using a mask detoxifies your skin, it helps your skin naturally exfoliate itself, it helps to tighten and tone and rehydrates your skin as well. Mask are also a great way to relax your skin, and your senses. For fun you can always make your own mask at home( one day use). Always choose a mask for your skin type: During the winter months hydration is key so using an all purpose or all skin type mask would be excellent. My favorite mask for this season is: Queen Helene Vitamin C and Honey peel off mask(Pure wholesome honey to help replace lost moisture, combined with the well known antioxidant benefits of Vitamin C) These ingredients are great for all skin types.

Beyond Expressions Beauty Tips
Now that it's fall, the leaves are changing, the weather is cooler and our skin will begin to show more signs of much needed moisture. As the weather changes our skincare should change as well. Summer is over and soon it will be time to load up on moisturizer, even if you have oily skin, hydration is key. Also during the colder months exfoliation should be used atleast 2-3 times a week, it increases skin cell turnover, decreases dead skin build up, it brightens and tightens the skin and it helps with hyperpigmentation. Another great point is, no matter the season always protect your skin with a spf of 30 or more. This protects you from aging, burning and skin discoloration.
