Summer, Summer Time!

Hello bloggers!

The weather is beautiful and everyone wants to embrace the sun. The sun is an excellent source of vitamin D which promotes healthy bone density(5-10 minutes in the sun). However while you are soaking up the sun please wear your sunscreen. Sunsceen is vital for healthy skin. It not only protects you from skin cancer(s) it also guards your skin from too much sun exposure(UVB and UVA rays) which could lead to burning and hyperpigmentation(even if your skin does not Burn, you should still wear sunscreen). Sunscreens should be worn all year round. Sunscreens that are 30 and above gives you more coverage. SPF=Sun Protection Factor this mean if your sunscreen is 30, you can stay in the sun atleast 300 minutes before burning. To understand your skin tanning or burning level check out the fitzpatrick scale at dermatologychannel.net
